Speaking and Events
We live in a world where people are encouraged to be authentic, yet rarely given spaces where authenticity feels safe. Through our keynotes, workshops and community events, we hope to change that.
Our talks
and workshops are designed to help people understand themselves, move through the world with greater self-belief, and recognise what they’re truly capable of.
Corporate Workshops
We host a range of interactive talks and workshops which can be delivered as employee development sessions, workshops or keynote speeches. We also offer bespoke sessions if you have a particular topic or interest.
Your Story Is Your Superpower
A super-hero inspired creative, interactive workshop exploring how our experiences shape the way we see ourselves and how we can reframe what we've been through as a source of confidence, courage and strength.
The Doctor Who Couldn’t Ask For Help
An interactive workshop exploring the culture of silence in medicine, helping healthcare professionals recognise and challenge the pressure to appear fine, and building genuine practices for seeking support before crisis point.
High Functioning, Not Fine
A thought-provoking talk exploring the hidden emotional lives of high-performing people, why success doesn't always equal wellbeing, and how we create healthier cultures where people feel safe to ask for help.

Join Our Launch Party!
Something exciting is coming.
On 2nd November 2026, we're celebrating the official launch of Stories Without Shame, a movement built around one simple belief: the stories shame told you to keep silent are the ones that will set you free.
We're hosting a free event to mark the occasion, and we would love for you to be there.

Community Circle
A monthly creative event to explore your story and express your inner world.
Many of us carry a story we struggle to say out loud, not because it isn't important, but because somewhere along the way we learned it was safer folded up and put away. Community Circle is a 90 minute in person creative workshop for anyone ready to look at their story differently, and maybe even find the strength that's been hiding inside it.
Come with an open mind and leave with a new perspective on your story.
Doctor & Shame Storyteller
As a speaker, Connie brings together professional expertise, lived experience and an ongoing curiosity about the human stories we rarely talk about.
She devotes her time to exploring shame from every angle: interviewing leading experts through her podcast, taking to the streets to hear real stories from people about what they carry in silence, and continuing to examine her own experiences to better understand what it means to live without letting shame define or limit you.
Her talks don't ask audiences to simply “overcome” shame. Instead, Connie helps people recognise the invisible ways it can influence their confidence, relationships, work and sense of self — and gives them the language, perspective and practical tools to start loosening its grip.
Her mission is simple: to create a world where people feel less alone in what they carry, more able to speak about it, and freer to show up as themselves.
Testimonial
“Working with Dr Connie was incredibly insightful, valuable and empowering. She helped me recognise, vocalise and tackle some deep held beliefs about my credibility, confidence and ability to be my authentic self at work. I’m so, so grateful for the lasting impact the time has had on me.”

How do our sessions help?
-
Our workshops help people build self-belief by helping them understand the stories, shame and self-judgements that can quietly shape how they see themselves and what they believe they’re capable of. Through honest reflection and practical tools, participants are encouraged to challenge those internal narratives and leave with greater confidence in who they are, what they have to offer, and how they choose to show up.
-
Dr Connie’s workshops create connection by giving people space to recognise that the experiences they often keep private are more universal than they realise. Through shared stories, honest conversation and creative expression, participants begin to feel less alone, more understood and more comfortable showing up as their whole selves.
-
Through our talks we explore how the things we carry internally can influence how we perform, communicate and show up in our work and lives. By helping people recognise and release the self-doubt, shame and pressure that can hold them back, participants leave with greater clarity, confidence and capacity to perform at their best.
-
We help people unlock creativity and courage by creating a space where they can explore ideas, experiences and perspectives without fear of getting it wrong or being judged. By challenging the self-censorship that often keeps us playing it safe, participants are encouraged to think more freely, take braver steps and trust themselves more.
